ABOUT
Washington traditionally revolves around policy and politics—two separate worlds often brought together only when it’s too late. Jonathan Murray brings rare fluency in both, backed by over two decades of experience in national security and politics to shape real outcomes. A veteran of the United States Marine Corps, Jon has worked at the intersection of legislative oversight and strategy, the executive branch, and campaign leadership. From battleground states in the U.S. to a highly kinetic district in rural Kandahar, Afghanistan, he has advised candidates, senior government officials, and military leaders on how to connect with the people they aim to serve.
Jon has led policy efforts on Capitol Hill, worked on high-profile investigations, and managed campaigns at both the state and congressional levels. As a Senior Advisor in the Office of the Secretary of Defense, he's helped shepherd presidential nominees through Senate confirmation and understands how to move priorities through complex legislative environments. Whether managing the NDAA strategy while serving as Defense Advisor to a senior member of the Senate Armed Services Committee, directing veterans' outreach for a presidential campaign, or as a Senior Advisor to the Secretary of the Navy, Jon knows how Washington works—and how to make it work for those driving national priorities. His portfolio at the Department of the Navy included congressional affairs for the Secretary as well as advancing the Department's highest priorities, such as shipbuilding.
With a deep understanding of defense policy, legislative process, and political dynamics, Jon offers companies a rare blend of insight and execution. He helps mission-driven organizations navigate the complexities of federal policymaking, craft compelling narratives, and achieve meaningful results in the places that matter most.
